iCIRT is a star-rating system designed to assess the capabilities and reliability of building professionals. The ratings, which range from 1 to 5 stars, are based on a detailed and independent evaluation performed by Equifax. This evaluation covers multiple critical aspects, including the financial strength of the company, its history of successfully completed projects, adherence to legal and industry standards, and overall business integrity. The goal of iCIRT is to provide transparency and help stakeholders make informed decisions about the trustworthiness and quality of a building professional or company.

iCIRT assigns a star rating, from one to five stars, to construction and development professionals based on their demonstrated performance and reliability. This rating is determined through a rigorous, independent review process that examines a company’s data and the quality of its work across six core categories: character, capability, conduct, capacity, capital, and counterparties.

Data for the assessment is gathered from thousands of sources, including credit ratings, building performance records, license checks, partnerships, and industry awards. The more stars a professional or company receives, the greater confidence purchasers and clients can have in their ability to consistently deliver high-quality projects.

Additionally, a gold, silver, or bronze indicator is provided to reflect how much information the professional has shared with Equifax. A ‘Bronze’ indicator shows limited consent, while ‘Gold’ signifies full transparency. The iCIRT star rating assessment is undertaken annually to ensure ongoing accuracy.
